I took this while waiting for the nightly sound & light show to start. On weekend evenings your are "elbow to elbow" with other tourists; a regular tripod would be in the way. My Gorillapod worked great!
BTW: a drawstring pouch to attach outside my camera bag would be a usefull accessory.
